How to Use Ivy To Do
Ivy To Do - Task Checklist
Up to six tasks a day, in priority order. That is the whole method.
Write down up to six tasks
Six is the limit on purpose. It forces you to choose what actually matters instead of keeping an endless list.
Drag them into priority order
Drag the tasks to reorder them, most important first, then work from the top. This is the Ivy Lee Method the app is built on, a technique that has been in use for over a hundred years.
Let unfinished tasks carry over
Anything you don’t check off is carried over to the next day automatically. You don’t rewrite yesterday’s list.
Plan tomorrow and look back on today
Prepare tomorrow’s tasks in advance, and leave a short reflection memo on the day you just finished.
Find what you did before
The calendar view shows your record day by day, and search finds a task you wrote earlier. Above the calendar, one line sums up the month: tasks done, perfect days and your current streak.
Keep it in front of you
Three Home Screen widget sizes show today’s tasks, and you can check tasks off right on the widget. The app icon badge shows how many are left.
As many reminders as you like
Add reminders with their own names and times. Each one tells you how many tasks are left today, or what comes first tomorrow.
Faster with Siri and a keyboard
Say “Add a task in Ivy To Do” to Siri, or use Shortcuts. On iPad and Mac, press ⌘N to add a task and ⌘→ to open the Tomorrow tab.
Ivy To Do Plus
Six tasks a day, reminders, history and Home Screen widgets are always free. Plus is a one-time purchase that unlocks Lock Screen widgets and iCloud sync across iPhone, iPad and Mac. There are no ads.
