LazyWindow - Keyboard Window Snapping
Last updated: September 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy is provided in English only.
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how LazyWindow (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) handles your information when you use our macOS application.
Information We Collect
LazyWindow does not collect any data.
- The app has no network connectivity and never sends any information off your device.
- No analytics, tracking, telemetry, or crash reporting.
- No account, login, or registration is required.
Accessibility Permission
macOS requires Accessibility permission for any app that moves or resizes other apps’ windows, and LazyWindow uses it for exactly that.
- The app reads the position and size of the window you are currently using, and writes a new position and size when you press a shortcut.
- It does not read window contents, text, keystrokes you type into other apps, or anything shown on your screen.
- Nothing observed through this permission is stored or transmitted. You can revoke the permission at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
Local Data
Your preferences (launch at login, menu bar icon visibility, whether windows continue onto the next display, and the list of apps you chose to ignore) are stored only on your device using the standard macOS preferences system. This data is never transmitted anywhere and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Information We DO NOT Collect
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Photos, videos, screen contents, or files
- Contacts or calendar data
- Usage or analytics data
Third-Party Services
The app does not use any third-party services, SDKs, analytics, or advertising.
Advertising
LazyWindow does not display any advertisements. We do not use any advertising SDKs.
In-App Purchases
LazyWindow does not offer any in-app purchases.
Data Security
All app preferences are stored locally on your device. We operate no servers and have no access to any of your data.
Children’s Privacy
Our app does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
Your Rights
- Delete local data: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored preferences.
- Revoke access: Removing LazyWindow from System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility stops the app from arranging windows.
