How to Use RecNow
RecNow - Screen Recorder
Open it, press the red button, and you’re recording. No account, no sign-up, no tutorial.
Start a recording
Press the red button. Android shows a confirmation dialog for screen capture each time you start. That’s the system asking, not the app.
You can also start straight from the Quick Settings tile without opening the app. Turn on the optional 3-second countdown if you need a moment to get ready.
Choose what sound to capture
Record system audio from games and videos, your voice through the microphone, or both mixed together. Android asks for microphone permission for system audio too. Record with no sound and it is never requested.
Pick a resolution
720p or 1080p. Only the resolutions your device can actually encode are offered, so you won’t pick one that fails.
Pause and come back
Pause mid-recording and resume when you’re ready, instead of stopping and starting a new file.
Manage your recordings
Play, share, and delete from the recordings list in the app.
Free and Premium
Every feature is free. Resolution and audio are never locked. Each recording can run up to 10 minutes, with no limit on how many you make.
For recordings longer than 10 minutes, Premium is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
Good to know
- Under 5 MB, built for phones with limited storage and modest hardware.
- Recordings are saved to your device and never uploaded.
- No banners, no full-screen ads, no “watch a video to continue”.
- Some phones ship without a built-in screen recorder. RecNow gives those devices recording with sound.
